Resilient Scotland, is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Forsyth as its new Chair. Currently a Director with Resilient Scotland, Helen takes up the role as the tenure of chair Mike Grigor comes to an end.
Currently, Chief Executive of Berwickshire Housing Association, Helen has been involved in Housing Associations and community regeneration since 1995 when she worked with a large sheltered housing provider in England.
Helen has worked with the homeless, refugees, people with mental health problems as well as working in a variety of settings in the voluntary sector, social work and regional health authorities. She was a member of the Scottish Committee for the Big Lottery for a seven year term. She is a member of the Scottish Committee for the Chartered Institute of Housing and chairs the Strategic Transport Board in the Scottish Borders.
Speaking about her appointment Helen said: “I am very pleased to have the opportunity of working with such a vibrant and forward thinking organisation and to contribute to the development of thriving Social Enterprises in Scotland. Resilient has a great team and excellent board so I am very flattered to have been offered the opportunity.“
