I was delighted to get the opportunity to join Waverley Housing in January 2018 following a 6 year stint as Chief Executive of Social Enterprise Scotland. Prior to that, from 2004 through to 2011, I held the post of Chief Executive with Glasgow South East Regeneration Agency which was formed from a merger of Castlemilk Economic Development Agency and Gorbals Initiative. I joined CEDA from Inverclyde Council where I had been working as Head of Economic Development between 1998 and 2004.
I’ve been involved with Resilient Scotland since May 2013 and believe it’s approach is different from anything I’ve been part of before. There is an energy about Resilient Scotland which is, in part, due to the formidably talented Board and highly competent team. However, there is a freshness about the blended investment model and the achievement of social impact which, whilst requiring us to assess risk proportionately, helps us to find ways to say ‘yes’ rather than a long slow no’.Back to meet the board
